It’s been a long time coming, but 1999’s Nike Air Tuned Max is finally back on shelves and it continues to pepper in more colorways by the month. And pepper is a fitting term for this pairing, which boasts an overarching monochrome palate ranging from black, grey, and metallic silver finishes.
Here, uppers of black mesh are met in hue at only the laces, liners, and outsoles, with greys and silvers making up the remaining portions. Light grey midsoles work with darker grey caging and tongues to enable the striking metallic silver overlays to truly pop. Visible Air supports follow the latter lead, while collars are equipped with a 3M reflective finish to cap off the design.
Though a release date for this monochrome Nike Air Tuned Max “Smoke Grey” was not officially noted, the surfacing of the official images suggests that a release will be proximal. Until the official word comes though, grab a detailed look at the pair here below.
