Though the day has come and gone, Japan’s annual. “Culture Day” serves as a fine reminder of the nation’s incredible culture, arts, and academic endeavors. It’s also a time to celebrate the several modern subcultures that exist within the island nation — including sneakerheads. Nike has done just that, delivering this new Nike Blazer Low Platform “Culture Day” to honor those who love shoes. Celebrating the unique sneaker communities of Ueno, Shibuya, and Harajuku, with the pair, presents nostalgic sentiments to said communities through collage insoles and outsoles. Animales associated with each community is also represented through a series of faux fur and leather, whilst still paying tribute to the original Nike Blazer colors scheme.
