After taking over the market through a bevy of white leather, color-Swooshed options throughout last year, the Nike Blazer has slowly-but-surely tilted the scales of design here in 2020. From the wild video game-inspired release to the plasticized DIMSIX duo — to yesterday’s mismatched wear-away — the silhouette is showing an increased capacity for creativity. And now there’s this — one of the most daring options of the Nike Blazer Mid yet.
Here, grey leather uppers host a bevy of embellishments, including shaggy grey suede eyelets, metallic silver Swooshes, and forefoot overlays in tan and black suede respectively. Tongues take on an ocean blue hue, while overlays at the ankle in metallic and suede shapes come tacked-on in DIY fashion. That aesthetic is carried over the thick, white, cracked paint strokes that cover the medial and lateral panels. The great panels feature an alluring black patent leather finish, complete with dual branding, while a cement-flecked midsole wrap adds a subtle yet stunning finish. Finally, a striking hot pink rubber outsole underfoot commands its fair share of attention.
Insoles show a co-branded P/Nike motif, indicating that this may well be a collaboration, though details of that is yet to be confirmed. Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below, and as always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
