Further cementing its place as a cornerstone of Nike’s bottom line and one of the pillars of street fashion, the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 is back with a duo donning metallic Checks. In a similar vein to a recent few Air Force 1’s, these new colorways steer away from the more “traditional” aesthetic and lean into a luxe gold and silver, perhaps inspired by the recent Tokyo Olympics.
At a quick glance, the 40-year-old silhouette has a straightforward construction, but its simplicity is met with expert craftsmanship which can only be delivered due to decades of perfecting its build. Both colorways are manufactured using high-end leather uppers, rubber for the foundational rubber sole units, and retro-inspired rough-cut foam tongues that fans of the shoe know and love. Firstly, the color-blocking all white blankets the entire shoe which only gives way to the contrasting black outer sole, heel, and tongue branding. Completing the look is the unavoidable striking silver swoosh which is framed by a black underlay. Lastly, we have the gold rendition, this time it delivers an all-black upper, white midsole, and black outsole. These foundational elements set the perfect stage for the royal gold swoosh which is set upon the white underlay. Both shoes are garnished with matching dubraes.
Unsure when the metallic duo will drop but if the rumors are true we can expect a Nike.com release soon for $100 each. Follow HOUSE OF HEAT on Twitter for all updates— but in the meantime, you can check the official images below.
