We can pinpoint the moment the Blazer became relevant in the mainstream sneaker scene — we can thank Virgil Abloh’s “THE TEN” collection for that. For the general market, though, It was a “Habanero Red” Nike Blazer Mid ’77 that kicked things off at the very start of 2019. It dropped alongside a green and blue pair, all of which sold out in quick succession. The former restocked mere months ago, much to the same reception as it first received, but if you missed out, never fear, there’s another option on the way.
Similar to that first release, this pair It arrives with standard white leather uppers, and is matched by vibrant “Habanero Red” Swooshes and heel branding. New is the forefoot suede overlays which now arrive in white, darker sail sole unit, and what appeared to be a spotted tongue liner in place of the exposed-foam tongues.
Grab an official look at the pair here below, and with the release date yet to be announced, you’ll want to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
In related news, the Blazer has also popped up with Dark Concord Purple Swooshes and orange exposed-foam tongues 👀
