2020 has been a big year for the classic Nike Blazer Mid ’77, releasing a slew of typical white leather, colored-Swoosh options, and frequently venturing into uncharted territories with experimentation on a myriad of textiles. Now, flexing that creative muscle once again, the humble Blazer takes a small step away from the standard, undertaking a new pastel assortment for the Summer months.
The Beaverton classic once again exhibits a typical build to what’s been seen before; the predominately white leather upper acts as the perfect backdrop for the strategic color placements to highlight the various overlays. Suede eyelet and toe overlays arrive uncolored, but a soft blue hue is dyed into the forefoot and heel strip for the pair’s first step into color. Soft lemon Swooshes in leather sit proudly at the midfoot and reach around the back to rest just below a mint green heel panel. Peach-tinted tongues are barely visible through the lengthy white laces, but you can sight the tip which houses a yellow-branded tongue tag — the same yellow hue used on the heel’s 3D-embroidered lettering. Completing the pair is a set of blue insoles and an all-white sole unit.
At this stage, no date for a Nike.com release but a price is slated for a crisp $100. Check out the official images below and follow out the House of Heat Twitter page for all future news and updates.
