Whether it is collaborations, redesigns, or — most frequently — themed collections, the Swoosh sure know how to get the most out of their retro silhouettes. The latter category of collections has recently seen themes including retro supporter wear (Sorts Specialties) to sherpa fleece-lined “Toasty” selections. Now there’s another pack on the horizon — one which encourages the wearer to get a little creative. The first to appear is this Nike Blazer Mid “Alter & Reveal” which, as the title suggests, features hidden details only visible through alteration. Here, it’s cut-away mesh overlays that reveal a hidden zebra print suede upper. Everything else remains relatively tame, with a tonal white suede construction contrasted by a bold tumbled black leather swoosh and simple sail sole unit. The pair is finished off by several elements shared across the collection, including zig-zag stitching, and “Alter & Reveal” branded tongues and insoles.
