Nike has undoubtedly made bank on its Nike Blazer over the past two years; its resurgence dates back to early 2019 when a three-pack of colored Swoosh options lead to a hefty run of low-cost, easily accessible drops. It’s been included in collaborations, themed releases, and countless material make-overs since, and most recently, has been included in the brand’s Move to Zero initiative. Its timelessness and versatility have now earned itself Nike’s very own stamp of approval, with this new Nike Blazer Mid “Certified Fresh” the next in a select series of sneakers to accept the honor.
For the Blazer’s second entry into the collection, Nike employs a textured bone leather upper, with tonal twill Swooshes and tongues forming the bulk of the construct. From there, tonal suede overlays dress the toe and heel panel, before the pair’s first color hue hits the laces in light blue. Retro branding dressed the tongue’s exterior, while Nike’s own stamp of approval hits both the flip side of the tongue and insole. The pair is then completed by an all-sail sole unit underfoot.
