Nike has undoubtedly made big coin from its Nike Blazer over the past two years; its resurgence dating back to early 2019 when a three-pack of colored Swoosh options lead to a hefty run of low-cost, easily accessible, and considerably hyped drops. As the old adage goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it — and for this new iteration that’s partly true, with. the silhouette is still set in simple blocking and construction, though this one works in a high percentage of recycled materials.
Though you wouldn’t know it from a passing glance, this Nike Blazer Mid “Next Nature” features recycled Flyleather uppers and Grind Rubber-flecked soles to showcase the Swoosh’s push for sustainable sneaks. The volt insoles are a dead giveaway, with the Move to Zero’s Pinwheel presented at the heel. The exterior is much more reserved, though, pairing a sail leather build with white suede overlays, heel panels, and sole units for subtle contrast — and that’s it!
