Devin Booker’s signature line has quickly become one of Nike Basketball’s more personal storytelling platforms.
Across Book 1 and now the Nike Book 2, Booker has used the series to reference pieces of his own life rather than just rolling out standard colorways. We have seen pairs inspired by his dogs, lifestyle-leaning executions tied to his off-court taste, and even a Sedona McDonald’s collaboration that nods to his adopted home in Arizona. But while Phoenix has become central to his story, Booker has never moved too far away from his Michigan roots.
That connection returns on this new Nike Book 2 “Detroit Tigers” PE.
The pair arrives in a deep navy finish, keeping things mostly tonal across the upper, midsole, and translucent outsole. A glossy navy Swoosh cuts through the side panel, giving the shoe its strongest material contrast, while white lace accents and rear pull-tab detailing break up the darker build.
The key detail sits at the heel, where the Detroit Tigers’ Old English “D” logo is stamped in white. It is a small hit, but it carries the whole story, tying the pair directly back to Booker’s Michigan upbringing and his ongoing support for Detroit sports.

The timing also fits with what Booker has been building around the model. Earlier this year, he helped outfit the Tigers with new Nike Book 2 shoes for Opening Day, further linking his signature line with the franchise. This latest PE feels like an extension of that moment, bringing the connection into a cleaner, more wearable navy-based look.
The Nike Book 2 itself continues to evolve as a signature model built around subtle detail rather than loud performance language. On this pair, that approach works especially well. The shoe does not need oversized graphics or heavy branding to make the point. The color, the logo, and the backstory do most of the work.
At this stage, a release date for the Nike Book 2 “Detroit Tigers” PE is expected on July 8th, 2026.
