The future of Devin Booker's time with the Phoenix Suns is yet to be determined, but one thing that's already been confirmed ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season is that the guard has his second signature basketball shoe, the Nike Book 2, on the way.
Although the Swoosh hasn't confirmed a timeline as of yet, it's expected that Booker unveils the follow-up to his highly-popular Book 1 on-court during fall. Its predecessor had a staggered release cycle after being revealed to the world, and the Book 2 may follow suit. According to X user @brandon1an, an Air Zoom Spiridon-inspired pair will release to the public on Feb. 6, 2026.
The earliest speculative look at Booker's second chapter has been provided to the internet by Sneaker Files. At quick glance, the Book 2 looks nearly identical to the NBA All-Star's debut model, but closer inspection (and an analysis of a different colorway) reveals clear differences between both designs.

The Book 2's overall shape isn't too far off from its predecessor. Nike Basketball's design team worked with Devin Booker to create a classic-looking silhouette comprised of modern performance elements for their first go-around, and it seems like the same guideline was followed for their sequel.
Collars on the impending launch have been contoured differently for a seemingly-taller height, coupling with a slimmer pull tab on the spine. The upper is effectively grouped into two layouts—base and mudguard—with material selection being hard to pinpoint on initial photos. It's likely, however, that Booker's love of old school aesthetics and construction champions leather instead of synthetic panels across the Book 2's catalog.
The outdoorsy boot-like design sits atop new cushioning and outsole configurations. For starters, the midsole now houses Zoom Air at the forefoot instead of the heel. Early reports state that the model now includes a ZoomX insole, the same responsive foam found on the Pegasus Premium, Vomero Premium, and other Nike Running shoes. The midsole stack height likely remains the same from the Book 1.
Underfoot, a herringbone traction pattern is abandoned in favor of two radial sections between the hind and fore-foot. The layout is most reminiscent of the Air Force 1, an important sneaker in the history of Nike Basketball, which the team also referenced in the original Nike Book offering.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details of the Book 2. The design's Spiridon-inspired "Metallic Silver" look is expected to release in anticipation of the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.
