Nike Book 2 “Sunburst” Brings Phoenix Heat

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns may be finished for the season, but Book’s second signature sneaker is just starting to heat up. After a steady run of player-exclusive looks throughout the year, the Nike Book 2 “Sunburst” is now moving from the hardwood to retail, bringing one of Booker’s more recognizable on-court colorways to the public.

The pair first appeared during Phoenix’s play-in run, dressed in a palette that speaks directly to the franchise’s visual identity. Official images now confirm the same execution, led by a rich Court Purple mesh upper that covers most of the shoe’s Spiridon-inspired build. The material choice keeps the model breathable and flexible, while also giving the purple finish more depth across the forefoot, side panels, tongue, and heel.

Orange accents carry the Suns' connection even further. A gradient Swoosh stretches across the side in warm orange tones, while matching hits appear on the lace loops, tongue branding, insoles, and heel pull tabs. The contrast works naturally against the purple base, creating a look that feels unmistakably tied to Phoenix without the need for overt team logos.

The storytelling continues inside the shoe, where orange insoles feature oversized Swoosh graphics and small sunburst-style details. At the rear, the inner heel badge includes a starburst graphic with the number 1, adding another layer to the colorway’s “Sunburst” nickname. Underfoot, the pair is finished with an icy blue translucent outsole, softening the bold upper while keeping the shoe tied to Nike Basketball’s modern performance language.
