Though it officially observed its 50th anniversary in 2022, it’s not until this year that we’re copping the brunt of celebratory Nike Cortez colorways. With the CLOT collaborationseemingly the catalyst, we’re now beginning to see the original Nikesneaker surface in a slew of new colorways — but none have been quite as adventurous as this new ladies-exclusive release (outside of the aforementioned CLOT collaboration, that is.)
The premium-built release leans heavily on the original white leather construct but puts a contemporary spin on things through a bevy of sail accents, textured Swoosh panels, added pulls, and colorful Swoosh stitching. That’s not the most intriguing part, though, as the pair comes equipped with Nike-branded studs that (likely) host the included bright patches. It’s also fitted with multi-color brand marks on the heel embroidery and like-minded graphic insoles that read “JUST DO IT” — a mantra Nike has been living since the inception of the Cortez itself.
Though a release date for this new ladies-exclusive Nike Cortez has not yet been revealed, the appearance of official imagery for the pair would indicate that a release is happening soon.
