Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 Appears in “Pale Ivory”

When the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt hit the market in September 2020, it certainly lived up to its name. The design challenged the status quo in both the fact that it has drastically altered such a classic and beloved design, and it was designed to be an exclusive for the ladies. Of course, it wasn’t the first women’s-specific Nike Dunk, with options like the Dunk Sky Hi and Sacai Dunk Lux pioneering the segment. Now it’s time for another, with the success of the silhouette garnering a sophomore design: Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2

Taking a completely different direction from its first iteration, the new design reverts back to a more traditional profile. There are alterations — many of them, in fact — with tweaks ranging from stitched-on Swooshes, hardened heel overlays, and added asymmetrical lace loop at the toe. Asymmetry continues across the vamp’s rise, the off-center tongue branding, and skewed insole graphics. Protruding midsoles and rear pulls tip the hat to the Disrupt 1, whilst outsoles retain their OG appeal.

After first appearing this morning in a deep green “Malachite” colorway, the silhouette has surfaced in a sophomore “Pale Ivory” scheme, this one more feminine in its approach. Here, shaggy sail textiles rest atop canvas uppers of the titular hue, before subtle color shifts at the stitching in Light Mdder Root and Venice blue add color to the Swooshes, eyestays, and tongue branding, too. The rest of the pair is split between Ivory and Sail, including the liners, laces, and rear overlays, as well as the two-tone sole units beneath.

Though a release date for the debut Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 “Pale Ivory” is not yet known, it is expected to arrive in the early months of 2022 alongside a handful of other like-themed releases.
