Though pre-aged sneakers have become the industry standard over the past 18 months, one factor of the pre-loved aesthetic that’s often overlooked is wear and tear. Sure, a sail sole units and laces replicate a deadstock, unopened pair from the mid-1980s, but for those kicks that have been worn with love for years on end — where’s the love? This new Nike Dunk Low “Wear and Tear” does just that, as it simulated worn-away finishes to its striking orange suede overlays, while a durable white leather rests new underneath. Bold navy blue Swooshes sit at the midfoot — also unscathed — while a sail midsole buys back into the vintage theme, albeit more subtly. Pops of orange return at the laces, liners, and outsoles to round out the design.
