A quick site search on Nike’s ISPA lineage reveals that the brand’s infant subdivision is extremely different in its approach to footwear. The overarching theme of the lineage is based on the basic rules of survival; Improvise, Scavenge, Protect and Adapt — and its easy to see how all four elements and invoked on this overlay-audacious Nike ISPA Road Warrior. It’s so extra that even the whopping $500 price point was not even considered a topic of discussion. Now, after debuting back in July this year, the silhouette’s sophomore “Clear Jade” colorway has appeared by-way-of A-Cold-Wall’s Samuel Ross.

Construction-wise, you can expect much of the same, with the mix-and-match inspired design stems from the pioneering 2-hour marathon breaking Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next%, the energy return of the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT, and more. The open floating heel borrows from early Nike Shox prototypes, but shifts from the boing boing effect of the pillars to incorporate double stack zoom pods and double under footplates. Color-wise, mesh uppers are split into two, with eggplant weave gracing the lower portion and a mid-blue up top. The latter is interwoven with striking Green Glow streaks to match the organic-yet-geometric midsole, all of which come encased in matte black caging. The latter pops with subtle aqua accents, while underfoot you’ll find some more subdued colors, with grey spring plates, black rubber outsoles, and royal-filled Zoom Air units to complete the design.
