Kevin Durant hasn’t had a good run when it comes to his last two signature sneakers. His twelfth he never even got to wear after missing an entire year from an ACL injury, and now his second has been launched right in the middle of a league-wide hiatus. It’s unfortunate because they happen to be two of his best silhouettes in recent times. But the show must go on, and after the launch of the debut Black/White colorway earlier this month comes another Boorklyn Nets-themed pair, this one fittingly dubbed “Home Team”.
In an ode to the Nets home “City Edition” strip, the predominately white upper is accented with a black grid pattern and is complemented by stark black tongues, laces, liners, and Swooshes. White midsoles arrive flecked Oreo-style, with the pair’s colorful collar and outsole in reference to the Biggie/Coogi-styled trim seen on the 2019/20 Bed-Stuy Home jersey.
