After unveiling its tie-dye-laden “Peace, Love, And Golf” collection for the impending Peace Day celebration this September, it now appears that Nike has further plans for the harmonious holiday, with Kevin Durant’s signature sneaker surfacing with a psychedelic makeover.
Void of thematic tie-dye prints, this KD 13 “Easy Money Sniper” — formally listed as Peace, Love, and Basketball —still captures a swinging 60s vibe, with Hippie-inspired floral prints, trippy era artwork, and a bounty of embroidered patches that truly capture the era. Uppers arrive based in black popped with sporadic placements of simple color 2D flowers, whilst its tongue and heel rainbow finish further beckons the theme. The rear collar arrives in artwork akin to The Beatle’s famed “Yellow Submarine” music video, whilst patches of smiley faces, “Love” and peace signals join stylized KD embroidery in the rear to add to the era-specific steez. Capping off the design is a sleek sail midsole popped with pink, translucent purple TPU Swoosh overlays, and a striking golden-yellow lace set.
Enjoy a detailed look at this groovy KD 13, as you wait for pairs to arrive at select retailers and Nike.com in and around the Peace Day celebrations on September 21st. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
