Kevin Durant hasn’t had a good run when it comes to his last two signature sneakers. His twelfth he never even got to wear after missing an entire year from an ACL injury, and now his second has been launched right in the middle of a league-wide hiatus. And with KD ruling himself out for a return this season, we’ll have to wait until next year to see the 2014 NBA MVP lace up his KD 13. But even if we only get a small window before the 14 drops, Durant will have a bevy of Brooklyn-based options to choose from, including this new “Oreo” make.
Bearing sticking similarities to Durant’s debut KD 13 colorway, this monochrome version sports a like black upper, white Swoosh and two-piece flecked/camo sole unit in grey — albeit much darker in tone. Blue accents have been removed in favor of grey, whilst upper gridwork arrives more pronounced than ever in stark white. Capping off the design is a bold pop of Team Orange underfoot, on the insoles and — if you look close enough — on the obstructed rear KD branding.
Fans of the performance hoop shoe can expect to see these “Oreo” KD 13s hit a select bunch of retailers in the coming weeks, but with a confirmed date not yet specified, you’ll want to make sure that you’re following our official Twitter account for updates. until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.
