While many of us were hoping to see Kevin Durant lace up his twelfth signature sneaker in a return to action in season 19/20, the recovering Durantula and his new Nets franchise have ruled out a comeback. We’ll have to wait until next season — and with him, he’ll be bringing a brand-new signature sneaker, the Nike KD 13. Today we get a first look at the presumed pair, and while it does carry over some DNA from the 12, it looks to include some new design cues.
Again it arrives in a mid-cut, with the Quadaxial Flywire appearing to arrive in a more uniform grid than the previous release. It’s got a bit of PG4 to it’s midsole, although it doesn’t arrive with his Air Strobel tech, instead opting for Zoom Air. Dunk-like ankle wings, and an Adapt BB-like that dips into the midsole complete the design.
We’re sure more looks + more info on its tech will surface soon, but until then you can enjoy a first look at the pair below, which is tipped to release during the NBA Playoffs later this year.
