Basketball may be banned on planet Earth for the time being, so Nike Hoops is taking some of their most revered footwear icons interstellar. Following the out-of-this-world Nike Kyrie 6 “There Is No Coming Back” and an equally adventurous Nike Air Flight 89 comes another intergalactic release, with this Nike KD 13 “Planet of Hoops” joining the space-themed pack for Spring 2020.
Unlike the pack’s Kyrie and Flight 89, Kevin Durant’s edition arrives dark-set, with Navy and black forming the pair’s base. Here, the blue uppers are adorned with the cartoon-styled etchings from the pack’s design set, while vibrant splashed of neon green hit the heel KD motifs, medial Swoosh and lateral midsole detail Linking the pair back to the pack’s spaced-out theme is galaxy-like flecked paintwork draping the midsole sweep, illustrated insoles that reads “The Court Planet of Hoops”, and the thematic Hoops logo hitting the tongues.
A release date for the Nike KD 13 “Planet of Hoops” — and the accompanying Niek Hoops pack — is not yet known.
