Kevin Durant continues to bless the youth with free game. Always one to engage the public (for better or worse), the Washington, D.C.-native recently worked with his Nike Basketball family to produce a special Nike KD 18 for participants of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League's (EYBL) "The Academy" program.
Top high school talent across the U.S. earn a spot within the renowned Nike-backed circuit, facing off against other high-level competition, getting exposure to and guidance from established professionals in the field, and celebrating the Swoosh with exclusive product. No stranger to the EYBL platform, the latest Nike KD signature model delivers a white, silver, blue, and black color scheme. Emblems from "The Academy" are printed on the medial heel. EYBL branding runs the center of the tongue, cementing the special pair as one for a chosen few.
Enjoy an early-look at the pair ahead, courtesy of Randy M. Williams (@r2n9y on Instagram). It's unlikely the sneaker lands on Nike.com at some point, but other basketball gear is readily-available online.
