Off-the-hardwood, Durant and his Swoosh family have been retroing iconic styles of the Nike KD 4, which will reportedly include a 'Gold Medal' retro come fall.

The information was first shared via social media by Sneaker Market, a news outlet based in Romania that's made a name for itself for reliably breaking product stories well-before brands make announcements. The 'Gold Medal' KD 4 first launched in 2012 to celebrate Durant's first top finish at that year's London Olympics. The Washington D.C.-native has gone on to win three other gold medals since then, but the special Nike Basketball offering continues to hold a special place in Durant's accolades for being the first.

News of the 'Metallic Gold/University Red/Obsidian/White' retro arrives after Durant's fourth signature model has already been reissued in iconic colorways like 'Aunt Pearl' and 'Nerf.' It's unlikely that the Swoosh will update any component on the retro, allowing fans of the original design to indulge in nostalgia. Newcomers to Durant's signature Nike line can also have a chance to experience a piece of an important part of Nike Basketball's history.
