Few players are as synonymous with the NBA’s one-and-done rule as Kevin Durant. After a standout freshman season at the University of Texas, Durant declared for the 2007 NBA Draft, leaving an indelible mark on the Longhorns’ basketball program. His brief collegiate career was significant enough to inspire a Texas-themed release of his fourth signature sneaker, the Nike KD 4, back in 2012.
The low-cut design, aptly dressed in the iconic Longhorn orange, features standout elements like a mesh side panel, Zoom-cushioned midsole, and the signature angled midfoot strap that defines the KD 4 silhouette. A beloved colorway for fans of both Durant and the Texas Longhorns, the sneaker has since become a cherished grail for collectors.
According to reports from Nice Kicks, the Nike KD 4 “Longhorns” will make its long-awaited return in 2025—specifically on Friday, Oct. 24.
