Although he would've enjoyed competing in the NBA Playoffs, Kevin Durant and his Nike Basketball family have seemingly taken the offseason as an opportunity to think about what's next. The Phoenix Suns All-Star's current signature sneaker will surely help him head into the 25-26 campaign ready, but retro styles like the KD 6 "Peanut Butter & Jelly" are also expected to join the mix.
Reported by Romanian outlet Sneaker Market, the news follows an ongoing trend from Nike Basketball to faithfully reissue some of its most beloved releases from last decade.
Debuted in 2013, the Nike Zoom KD 6 reverted to a low-profile design similar to the highly-lauded KD 4. Throughout the year's second-half and bulk of 2014, Durant's sixth signature model launched in handfuls of narrative-driven color schemes and finishes. Pairs like the KD 6 "All-Star" (also expected to return in 2026) also brought new themes to the then-Oklahoma City Thunder forward.

Durant's enjoyment of peanut butter & jelly sandwiches inspired a pair of the Leo Chang-designed sneaker. At quick glance, the "Laser Orange/Raspberry Red/Black/Gold" color scheme might've not screamed "PB&J," but close inspection of the lateral swoosh hinted at the muse. Furthermore, the Swoosh's marketing material for the style's original run included Made in Maryland-branded jars of peanut butter and grape jelly.
As with faithful retros for the likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, Durant's next bring-back project should feature all the bells-and-whistles that helped the Washington D.C.-native leave his mark on the NBA more than 10 years ago.
Stay tuned for official photos and firm launch details of the KD 6 "Peanut Butter & Jelly" retro. Pairs should hit Nike.com in the first-half of 2026.
