Nike Basketball and Vanessa Bryant put together another Mamba League Invitational over the weekend in honor of what would've been Kobe Bryant's 47th birthday. In addition to showcasing top high school talent, the occasion served as the perfect grounds to display impending product from the late NBA superstar's signature range, which will soon include the Kobe 3 Protro Low.
Days apart from the official unveiling of the third Nike Kobe's "Performance Retro," Bryant and company unveiled the sneaker's first-ever Low presentation. The sneaker features all of the updates introduced with the Kobe 3 Protro "Halo," but in a form factor closer to the late "Black Mamba"'s most popular signature models.
The first edition of the low-top Protro features a same all-white finish as the aforementioned "Halo" pair, although the sneaker may take on a different nickname when it's eventually launched. Its series of cutouts across the upper and diamond-shaped details around the midsole and throughout the outsole could have inspired Vanessa Bryant's "Diamante" caption; this may also be the eventual moniker for the new Nike Basketball model.
