Currently celebrating it’s eleventh year, the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) is often an avenue for Nike Basekball designers to flex their creative flair. From KDs to Kyries, the Swoosh has continued to deliver banger after banger exclusives for competing athletes — and sometimes even for the general population. For 2021, Nike look to the Kobe 6, and given Mamba’s dedication you youth hoops, its a fitting tribute to the late Hall of Famer.

First looks at the Nike Kobe 6 “EYBL” show a pair primarily presented in black, whiles its textured forefoot works in a plum-to-purple gradient effect. Tongues of light lilac work onto the aforementioned with ease, before being hit with a contrasting black heel and sole unit. The latter is flecked with white, as is the rear clip — the latter finished with Nike’s EYBL logo.

As of now, it’s unknown if the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “EYBL” will remain exclusive to those participating in the tournament, or if it will eventually find its way to retailers — either way, we’ll be sure to keep you updated right here on our official Twitter account.
