It seems that the Swoosh continually tributes classic colorways of sneakers past. From the long-list of “Bred”-inspired drops, to the upcoming Air Max Plus Kyrie 2 Low, the brand has often looked way, way back into the archives for colorway inspiration. But, like the silhouette itself, the Nike Kobe AD 360 does things a little differently. Instead, the futuristic Kobe silhouette looks to the recent past, utilizing a modern classic for inspo. The newest addition to the laceless line calls upon the highly revered “Queen” Blazer curated for Serena Williams courtesy of Virgil Abloh.
The combo of grey, black, and volt paired with pink and purple is unmistakable — even if the color blocking arrives modified. Tinted-grey translucent uppers rest atop a midsole mimicking the famed Blazer, while oversized Swooshed and volt accentuations add further weight to the OFF-WHITE vibe. Black hits on the tongue, heel pull, and forefoot keep the colorway aligned, while quick flashes of orange stitching are a subtle nod to the Blazer’s most minute details.
