Nike’s “Coals” lineup is getting even bigger for Holiday 2026, with a matching Kobe A.D. Protro now expected to join the year-end rollout.
The newly surfaced pair carries the same black, green and purple direction seen across the wider “Coals” collection. A predominantly black upper sets the base, while bright green lands on the Swooshes, lace loops and Kobe branding. Purple takes over the liner and sculpted heel, with the two colors blending together across the forefoot portion of the midsole.
The colorway is expected to arrive alongside the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Coals,” which is currently slated for Christmas Day, as well as a matching Vapor Edge Kobe 6 football cleat. Nike is also extending the theme into lifestyle footwear with a Kobe Air Force 1 Low, giving the “Coals” concept a presence well beyond the basketball court.
For the Kobe A.D., the release also continues the model’s recent Protro revival. Nike brought the silhouette back earlier this year with updated cushioning and performance tooling while preserving the look of Kobe Bryant’s first post-retirement signature shoe.
The Nike Kobe A.D. Protro “Coals” is expected to release in December 2026 for $155.
