The Nike Kobe X “5AM Flight” is expected to return during Holiday 2026.
As Nike Basketball continues to revisit key Kobe-era silhouettes, the Kobe X is next in line following expected revivals like the Kobe 8 "Shanghai Fireworks" which is also expected in 2026.

Originally introduced in 2015, the Nike Kobe X marked a shift toward lightweight performance and minimal construction within Kobe Bryant’s signature line. The “5AM Flight” colorway reflected Bryant’s early-morning training routine, pairing a bright blue engineered mesh upper with a translucent icy midsole and black Swoosh branding. Subtle red accents at the heel nod to the discipline and repetition that defined Kobe’s approach to preparation.
Performance-wise, the Kobe X was built around a low-to-the-ground Lunarlon midsole, offering responsive cushioning and court feel, while the breathable mesh upper prioritized flexibility and lockdown. The sculpted heel counter and lightweight tooling made it a favorite for players who valued speed and precision.
With Nike Basketball continuing to revisit key moments from the Kobe archive, the return of the Nike Kobe X “5AM Flight” fits the brand’s broader strategy of bringing back performance-driven classics with strong on-court heritage.
As of now, the pair is expected to release during Holiday 2026, with pricing and official release details yet to be confirmed.
