Irving Adds Retro Spurs Influence to the Kyrie 7 “All-Star”

As has been the case for Nike Hoops All-Star Footwears for the past few years, we’re seeing a common theme for the signature Swoosh athletes in 2021. This year, though, it’s not an overarching color palette that’s setting the tone, instead opting for sustainability as the key component. This underlying aspect has allowed each athlete to deliver their own unique colorway, just as Kyrie Irving has done here on his Nike Kyrie 7 “All-Star” offering.

The Brooklyn Net guard has opted for a retro Spurs theme, with orange, pink, and aqua linking in with black for a mid-90’s aesthetic. By far the busiest of the signature releases for All-Star weekend, Irving has mixed a multi-color marl weave upper with camouflage-like overlays of teal and orange — all of which sits beneath a sheath of orange netting. If that wasn’t busy enough for ya, the Swooshes and forefoot teeth arrive in flecked grind rubber finishes. Toning things down a tad, medial ankle sections are finished in straight orange textile, while rear panels arrive black nubuck — the latter sporting an altered Kyrie motif that announces the pair’s Earth-friendly efforts. Midsoles and liners follow suit in all-black, with forefoot teeth and grind-flecked outsole pop up in a retro-inspired pink and aqua arrangement.

Enjoy the official images of the San Antonio Spurs-like Kyrie 7 “All-Star” here below, and expect pairs to arrive on Nike.comand select retailers sometime in early March.
