Filipino Flavor
Since 2013, LeBron has frequently vacationed to the Philippines during the summer months for some well deserved R&R. And from the looks of the picturesque beaches of the Asian nation, who’d blame him? His love for the country always shines through social media, but also through his annual “Agimat” release, serving as a salute to the Pinoy ballers. This year, we’re seeing a Nike LeBron 16 Low “Agimat,” a name which references a good luck charm often worn on and off the court. it again arrives in dark-mid blue—this time in a full nubuck upper—, with gold accents, the latter including a solid metallic midfoot Swoosh, heel King James branding and speckled midsoles — with hidden away Nike Air branding behind the heel flap. Speaking of hidden away, the tongue zip reveals a set of motifs in red when opened; volcano, flame, lightning, shield, four-star, and crest graphics, inspired by LeBron’s journey from “warrior” to “king.”
Filipino retailers Titan has teamed up to launch the Nike LeBron 16 Low “Agimat” at a handful of their locations across the nation on August 31st, while a Stateside release will follow suit on Nike SNKRS. Until then, take a peep at the unveiling photos below, and keep your eyes locked on HOUSE OF HEAT for more updates on the UD drop!
