Update 02.05.20 Detailed looks at the Nike LeBron 17 Low “Tune Squad” have filtered in courtesy of SNS Pictured further below, it shows the pair rocking a white jersey mesh-like upper with smooth leather profile overlays, and alternating lacestays and laces — the left shoe opts for red stays and royal laces, with the right inverted. Rabbit fur Swooshes are faux, and arrives outlined by the team’s two-color trim, as does the medial line’s ribbon and heel pull. Comp[leting the design A blue midsole, white React forefoot and red Air Max unit complete the base, and the pair is capped off with a bevy of embellishments, including the King James logo at the heel, Bugs Bunny’s infamous catchphrase on the tongue’s inner, and Tune Squad graphic insoles.

OG Post 01.22.20 // Taking on a reboot of Space Jam in 2020 has left LeBron James with some big shoes to fill. But living in Michael Jordan’s shadow his entire career is nothing new for the King. Considering that the first movie is actually garbage, and we can all agree that LeBon is a much better actor than MJ, it shouldn’t be too hard to trump. And while he won’t come close to stealing Michale’s thunder when it comes to the movie’s kicks (the Space Jam 11 is a bonafide grail) he has still dished up something incredible.

The Nike LeBron 17 “Space Jam” Pack will feature two special-edition takes, a LeBron 17 “Monstars” and a LeBron 17 Low “Tune Squad”, both of which are set to arrive in time for All-Star weekend in Chicago. Today, we get an official look at the former, which was unveiled today as part of Nike’s ASW collection for 2020. The pairs takes cues from the OG alien uniforms, arriving in a deep purple trimmed with textured orange and purple tongue overlays. Shrouds on the cam read the number 0, as seen on the entire team of talent-thieving toons. The pair’s Foamposite pieces are popped with a quintet of colors inspired by the Monstar’s cartoon flesh in orange, blue, green, purple and red, and the pair comes complete with a Swooshless midsole piece (moved to the upper’s forefoot) and iridescent purple outsoles.

The Space Jam sequel is not slated to hit cinemas until July 2021, but you won’t have to wait long to pick up the franchise-themed kicks, with pairs of the Nike LeBron 17 “Monstars” set to release at 10:00 am ET on February 13th, followed by the Nike LeBron 17 Low “Tune Squad” on February 28th.
