Nike LeBron 17 “More Than An Athlete” to Release on Christmas Day

We are more than a label, we are more than what society deems us to be. That is the message LeBron James and his Uninterrupted platform is giving to athletes, who have traditionally been seen but rarely heard. The movement sparked into fruition as a response to Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham’s notorious“Shut up and dribble” remarks back in 2018. Naturally, thanks to the King and the Swooshe’s incredible influence, the campaign took off with a full head of steam, and reached a new high earlier this year when the two combined for a special-edition customizable Air Force 1 Low. Now the two biggest names in sports have reunited for a sophomore release, this time on the King’s seventeenth signature Nike sneaker.

Like the Air Force 1, it gives the wearer a platform to use their voice, arriving with an erasable paneled midsole and Air units for players wanting to write their own personal messages, along with two markers and two interchangeable tongue guards. It arrives in Uninterrupted’s signature royal and white, with a myriad of details in black highlighted by the drawn-on Swoosh in the rear.

These will be LeBron’s kicks for the Lakers/Clippers showdown on Christmas Day, with a release that will coincide with tipoff at 8:00 pm ET on Nike.com, with a release to follow at SNS at 3:00 am ET on December 26th. Until then, you can take a look at the official launch and product shots below.
