LeBron’s “Space Jam” collection isn’t done yet. During the second half of last night’s NBA All-Star Game, the King switched up his sneakers and broke out an alternate Monstars pair in vivid green. It didn’t take avid fans of the film franchise to figure out that it was an ode to the Mayor of Moron Mountain, Mr. Swackhammer.
Featuring a palate based off the antagonist’s outfitting, it pair’s the character’s cheap maroon suit against a vibrant green upper that’s brighter than Moron Mountan’s neon signage. Similar to the previously-released Monstars make, it also features reptilian-textured tongues, Fomapsite pieces in colors of the team’s characters, #0 tongue overlays, and intergalactic insoles. Here, the pair is capped off with teal green accents, and a purple-tinted Air Max unit in the rear.
