LeBron James Reveals the Nike LeBron 17 “2K”

Just last week LeBron James busted fake images of his upcoming Nike LeBron 17 silhouette, whilst at the same time suggesting that we wouldn’t have to wait too long for the real thing. Sure, we’d already seen the silhouette on the King’s feet in preseason workouts, but we hadn’t got up close and personal with it — until now. Earlier today, the four-time NBA MVP took to the ‘gram to flex the first official look at the new silhouette — and he did so by unveiling a special all-purple NBA 2K edition.

It arrives packed with innovative advancements from Nike, including its big-bubbled Air in the rear (and likely Zoom Air up front) and the rumored new weave which appears to include a Foamposite-like material around the heel and down to the forefoot. The pair doesn’t shy away from the bling, either, with this “2K” edition features the gaming franchise’s iconography on the tongue’s forefoot, while a jeweled Swoosh on the lateral heel and LeBron crown logo on the tongue’s upper adding some pop to the tonal makeup. Being linked to the video game franchise, it’s highly likely that this Nike LeBron 17 “2K” will be an unlockable achievement in the new NBA 2K20 game, which coincidentally features a MyPlayer storyline produced by LeBron’s Springhill Entertainment.

Take a peep at the pair below, which likely won’t release at retail — but you can expect the first-up black pair to arrive on October 3rd.
