Nike is bringing another inspiring story to life with the Doernbecher Freestyle “Tima” edition of the Pegasus 41. Designed by young patient Tima, this feline-inspired sneaker is a heartfelt tribute to his love for his cat, Murka, and the people who have supported him through his journey.

The Pegasus 41 "Tima" showcases a vibrant palette of tropical colors, chosen to honor Tima’s bone marrow donor, who resides in Florida. This personal connection is further highlighted by her name on the lace tips, alongside the date of his transplant — a touching nod to the life-saving gift she provided. The shoe’s design is filled with playful and creative elements, reflecting Tima’s personality and his affection for Murka. Glow-in-the-dark paw prints trail across the upper, while a fuzzy lace patch modeled after his favorite cat stuffie adds a tactile and whimsical touch. The outsole features a large paw print, tying the feline theme together perfectly. Murka even makes an appearance, seen hanging playfully off Nike’s iconic Swoosh logo.

The Doernbecher Freestyle program, which began in 2003, offers young patients from Oregon Health & Science University’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital the opportunity to design their own Nike sneakers. Each release tells a unique story of courage, creativity, and resilience, and Tima’s Pegasus 41 is no exception.
