The Nike Pegasus 41 "Desert Ochre" Is Inspired by Coffee Beans

As Nike Running continues to enjoy success with its Vomero catalog, it keeps reimagining some of its performance-oriented franchises with special ensembles. The latest effort arrives in the form of a Pegasus 41 inspired by coffee beans.

While not the first conceptual take on a running silhouette, the latest offering from the long-standing Nike Pegasus series sees to an unexpected item for inspiration. Officially clad in a "Soft Pearl/Desert Ochre/Fauna Brown/Velvet Brown" color scheme, the pair's look falls in line with the Swoosh conglomerate's typical autumnal color palette. Product photos of the style, however, reveal a coffee bean roasters-reminiscent packaging, revealing the idea behind the design.

ReactX foam cushioning and accompanying road-ready outsole opt for pitch-dark finishes, although the former component dons brown speckling across the profiles. A coffee-like gradient appears between the knit upper and foam midsole, further playing into the conceptual makeover.
