Nike Running has found its stride. Over the last year, the Swoosh's core imprint has overhauled its entire lineup, creating a number of valuable training tools to accompany the marquee AlphaFly 3. One such product is the Pegasus Premium.

Rooted in heritage, the Nike Pegasus Premium takes the brand's most-trusted running shoe for daily mileage and gives it a future-forward update. A 'base' model still forms part of the company's offerings, but the Premium take features full-length Zoom Air and an all-new rocker that aims to make running feel more dynamic. (By comparison, the current Pegasus 41 consists of a ReactX foam midsole and enclosed Zoom Air unit at the forefoot.)

Those who've tried the Pegasus Premium have noted that the feeling underfoot is unlike most other footwear they've worn. Hardcore runners, however, have yet to determine just how performance-oriented the shoe is. Its all-new 'White/Metallic Silver' colorway might also detract some athletes from buying a pair given its propensity to get dirty. Nonetheless, the newly-surfaced shoe delivers a compelling, stylish package for those willing to experiment with Nike's big bet for the sport that helped it become a world-renowned brand decades ago.
