Ahead of France's 2026 World Cup debut match against Senegal, the Swoosh has unveiled Nike Atelier with the help of none other than Désiré Doué, the 21-year-old forward considered one of the tournament's best young players.

Earlier in the year, the Paris Saint-Germain star helped Nike preview the Mercurial Vapor 16 by Patta, showcasing the brand's trust in him. The relationship strengthens through Nike Atelier, which kicks off with premium expressions "engineered to the exact specifications of Désiré Doué."

An Instagram post by the sportswear juggernaut touts that Nike Atelier is an exploration of "innovation, design, and football culture through a one-of-one expression." In Doué's specific case, the product "[reflects] the creativity and confidence shaping a new generation of athletes." France's number 20 is also photographed in a Nike Football-branded jacket, made-to-measure shorts, and the all-new Merc Premium—a silhouette that couples a modern running sole unit with a full-leather upper inspired by the original Mercurial football boots from 1998.

Nike Atelier is all about high-quality craftsmanship, personal style, and a blend of performance innovation and style. Given Doué's on-pitch play and marketability, he's the perfect footballer with whom to reveal the niche branch of the NIKE, Inc. conglomerate.

French teammate Ousmane Dembélé helped adidas promote the Made in Italy A-TYPE Line earlier in the year. The range by the Three Stripes isn't a made-to-measure project, but similarly fuses sports heritage with top-notch manufacturing for fashionable expressions that seem at home in both football stadium stands and European fashion runways.

A-TYPE has been made to the public in limited quantities and for higher-than-usual-MSRPs, whereas Nike Atelier is bespoke for sponsored athletes at the moment. The Merc Premium, however, will see a release in "early July at select doors," allowing fans to enjoy the elevated mashup of football and running heritage.
