With the 2026 World Cup™ scheduled to kick off on Thursday, June 11, most things about the tournament have been finalized. National football teams have landed and begun training at their base camps across Mexico, the United States of America, and Canada, building chemistry, acclimating to North America's climate, and getting more comfortable in the gear—kits and football boots—that they'll wear throughout summer.
Over the last month, sportswear brands from across the globe—including adidas, Nike, and PUMA—have revealed special boot designs to be worn on-pitch during the World Cup™. Marquee athletes like Lionel Messi have gotten their own pair of commemorative boots, while other endorsed footballers will wear hero packs that provide uniformity across companies.
Although a single minute of the competition is yet to be played, it's likely at least one pair of boots worn throughout Summer 2026 will go down in history, as has been the case with designs from past World Cup™ tournaments.
To help you stay on top of every football boot worn at the 2026 World Cup™, we at House of Heat° have put together this ultimate guide. Ahead, you'll find full ranges from over six different sportswear manufacturers; signature product callouts; athlete rosters; tech breakdowns; and Where to Buy links.

Lionel Messi's "El Último Tango" adidas F50
The 2026 World Cup™ will be Lionel Messi's sixth and likely final World Cup™ tournament (at least as a player). To commemorate the occasion, adidas has put together a special "El Último Tango" Collection headlined by a story-driven F50.
Messi's "El Último Tango" adidas F50 features the colors of Argentina's flag, as well as overt mentions of the decorated footballer's "Last Dance." Fine-tuned for the current Inter Miami superstar, the boots feature particular elements that draw inspiration from the +F50.6 TUNIT he wore during his World Cup™ debut in 2006. The tango-inspired pair, then, also celebrates the 20th anniversary of Messi's first World Cup™.
The technical breakdown of "El Último Tango" F50 is as follows:
- HYBRIDTOUCH+ upper, Lightweight, premium and soft-feeling synthetic material; Features the iconic lace cover seen on the F50.6 TUNIT, which increases striking surface
- HALOCAGE+ TPU skin, A coating on the upper "responds sensitively to changes in direction, supporting dynamic movements and fast footwork," according to adidas

- LIGHTSTRIKE PRO sockliner, Seen on award-winning running shoes; provides lightweight cushioning and energy return when engaged

Morten Thorsby's Sokito Scudetta Kaizen
Sokito has been hand-crafting eco-friendly football boots from Nottingham, England since 2018. For the 2026 World Cup™, Jake Hardy's team has put together a unique pair of Scudetta Kaizen boots for Norway's Morten Thorsby.
The company has already shared that the boots are "Not for sale, just for him."
The commemorative Scudetta's design references Norway’s flag, Thorsby's cultural roots, and the environmental values he shares with Sokito.
Tech specs for Thorsby's World Cup™ Sokito Scudetta are:
- A weight of 182 grams (6.42 ounces)
- Form-fitting upper that molds to the foot
- Snappy, aggressive soleplate
- Made almost exclusively from bio-based materials—including corn waste, sugarcane, bamboo, castor beans, and tencel wood fibers

Cristiano Ronaldo's Nike Mercurial Superfly(s)?
Akin to his similarly-decorated peer Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo will likely have his "Last Dance" at the 2026 World Cup™. Nike hasn't announced any special collection for the Portuguese star as of writing, but the rumor mill has posited that the brand has designed two "Metallic Gold Star" pairs from the Mercurial Superfly franchise for CR7.
One of the pairs is a golden remake of the Superfly 1. A RGN (read: Regen) version of the original boot released in early April as an ode to Ronaldo. The boot was made game-ready, which could lead CR7 to wear the golden style in the World Cup™, but this boot choice would seem odd as the silo is built on outdated tech. Nevertheless, signs point to the commemorative Superfly 1 releasing on Thursday, June 18, which is a day after Portugal's first match in the 2026 World Cup™.
The second pair that could surface for the tournament is a golden Superfly 11. Given that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the model's faces in the "Rip the Script" campaign, it's more sensical that the 41-year-old wears a one-of-one pair of the next-gen Mercs during his final World Cup™ run.
Nothing has been confirmed by Nike as of this writing.

Michael Olise's Nike Hypervenom(s)?
If you've been following global football over the last six months, you're likely familiar with Frenchman Michael Olise and his love for the Nike Hypervenom Phantom III. The high-collar silhouette debuted in early 2017 and his been discontinued by 2019. Olise, however, has faithfully worn the boots since then.
It's unclear exactly how Olise keeps a pair in rotation, but what's certain is that he's had to rely on non-Nike channels over the last seven years to get unused pairs of the Hypervenom Phantom III. This, however, is possibly changing for the 2026 World Cup™.
Olise laced up a never-released blue-and-red pair of the Hypervenoms for a friendly against Côte d’Ivoire on June 4. It's possible the pair is simply a custom commissioned by the 24-year-old, but there's also a possibility that Nike has chosen the French international to help unveil a Hypervenom Phantom III RGN, a move that wouldn't be surprising given the athlete's authentic belief in the pair and the widespread success of the Hypervenom Phantom I RGN from May 2025.
According to Footy Headlines, Olise could also be testing out a new prototype by the Swoosh, which could debut at or after the 2026 World Cup™. Referred to internally as "The Nike Boots," it's possible the silo will establish a fourth franchise of football boots for the brand. The unmarked pair has been spotted at France training sessions, and features the Phantom 6's Cyclone360 sole plate, a tall Dynamic Fit collar, and what looks like a NikeSkin upper.
Nothing has been confirmed by any party involved as of this writing.

These have been all of the known football boots prepared for the 2026 World Cup™ tournament, but pairs could be unveiled during the competition's 39-day stretch. So, make sure to check back on House of Heat°'s coverage of every pair of boots worn at the 26 World Cup™.
