Nike SB Serves Up a Sashiko-Like Blazer Low GT

Though its initial inspiration stemmed from classic American muscle cars, the Nike SB Blazer Low GT has found new flavors in everything from Paisley-popped pairs, to Oregon Ducks duds. Now it looks to the theme of DIY — sashiko, perhaps — as its next option arrives with several signature elements of the scheme.

Though it’s anchored in a classic Sashiko-style blue, white, and vachetta leather, the pair pulls limited textiles, with denim Swooshes serving as the sole woven fabric. Uppers of navy leather works with vachette heel overlays; fixtures that are tacked on with home-style inspiration. The pair is then completed by muscle car-inspired tongue tags and insoles, with an all-white sole unit served up underneath.
