Though the Nike SB Dunk Low has been busy with a slew of collaborative drops, the Swoosh’s skate division hasn’t forgotten about the silhouette’s skate shop-exclusive Orange Label schedule. Making sure skaters still get their fix, Nike SB will be delivering an “Unbleached Pack” this September, inclusive of Blazers and Dunks. With a handful of these already revealed, the mysterious Nike SB Dunk Low “Lilac” from the pack has just presented itself by way of official imagery — and it’s caught a lot of people by surprise.
Given the “Unbleached” title, most were presuming that the pair would arrive in an undyed, natural state. Instead, the wizards at Nike SB have appeared to dyed the base in the titular light purple tint, resulting in an indigo-like finish, albeit purple instead of blue. In fact, you can even see the dye marks across the pair’s midsoles. This, along with a random dying process will mean that each pair will have its own unique character — pretty cool, huh? Underneath the dye at the mid panel, you can still see the natural hemp fibers peering through, while suede overlays sit atop in a significantly darker shade. Swooshes, tongues, liners, and laces all arrive in bright white, though imagery does suggest that these will likely absorb some of the dye, too. All of this is then completed by a timeless gum rubber outsole, and signature Orange Label branding at the tongue and insole.
