OG Post 01.29.21 // With still a long, long way to go in 2021, it might well be a bit adventurist to begin looking at Nike SB Dunk Lows for the Holiday period — after all, most people are focusing their efforts on the upcoming Pink Pig, Club 58 and Supreme Stars drops, all of which are predicted to be tough cops (which Dunk isn’t nowadays?) But with news dropping of Nike SB’s plans for Holiday 2021 today, we couldn’t help ourselves — especially when it appears to be a release inspired by one of Tinker Hatfield’s best-ever efforts.

If you haven’t guessed it from the visual and titles by now, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Cholophyll” for Holiday 2021 looks to be inspired by the 1987 Air Trainer 1 of the same name (pictured below). If this is the case, it won’t be the first (or the last) time that Nike SB has honored the OG trainer, with the skateboard division gifting us an SB version of the silhouette late last year. While those may have sat on shelves for a minute out here in Australia, there is absolutely zero chance of that happening for an inspired SB Dunk Low.

A first look at the Nike SB Dunk Low “Chlorophyll” has landed ahead of its release in November. And as expected, the pair pays tribute to the legendary Air Trainer, seen here through a matching color scheme, heavy perforations at the forefoot and mid panel, and striking black covering the toe and Checks.
