Nike Is Finally Bringing Back the Shox BB4
About time.
When we first heard the news last November that the 23-year veteran would be once again lacing up his Nike Shox BB4’s for the remainder of 2018/19 season, we thought a retrospective release of the 2000 silhouette would follow shortly. Well, TEN months later, we’re still waiting — but we won’t have to sit it out much longer, with Nike confirming at the OG Metallic Silver Nike Shox BB4 will be releasing on August 9th.

The silhouette was made famous by that monster Dunk of Death over 7’2 French center Frederic Weis — but this colorway was later debuted by VC when he returned to the NBA hardwood that next season — after all, it was a perfect match for his Raps unis!
A bold, ridged silver leather and a smooth black leather split real estate on the upper, while the shoe’s signature performance feature arrives on the rear via a silver heel plate and a “Lapis” purple four-plug Nike Shox cushioning system that’s sandwiched in between two purple Pebax plates. Shox branding is then stamped on the tongue and insole to finalize the look. You can expect these Shox to spring onto Nike.com August 9th $160 USD.
