Nike Sportswear's current retro run of the Shox franchise has focused on the original R4. And while attention continues to be paid to the 25-year-old design, the brand is looking to expand its scope of focus to include other models—including the Shox Ride 2.
A product of the early aughts, the silhouette couples piston-shaped cushioning with beloved Air Max units for a dual setup. The silhouette's served as a canvas for Supreme, but the last six months have seen it favor inline styles. The latest takes on a predominantly "Black/University Red" color scheme worthy of a "Bred" moniker. Profile swooshes take on "Metallic Silver" flair, while their backdrop favors a pitch-dark presentation.
Together, each component works in-tandem to create a compelling, classic look not too dissimilar from Skepta's Shox TL project from 2019.
Enjoy official photos of the Shox Ride 2 ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com before autumn gets going.
