the Nike Air Max Tailwind IV has enjoyed a resurgence in 2019, helped along by a two-piece Supreme collaborationearlier this year. That may have injected some much-needed exposure to the silhouette, which has now begun to hit the market running. But while we await the return of the OG “Volt” iteration of the sneaker, a new rendition — of a similar palate — has just surfaced.
Dubbed “Aurora Green, ” the colorway sports a traditional mix of white leather overlays and midsole, paired with black pining, lining, and outsoles. But the basic stops there, with a vibrant volt-to-teal gradient mesh underlay, one that hides beneath grey-to-white gradient cage overlays. Teal pops up again on the lacestays, heel detail and inside the Air Max unit, with Volt returning for flashes on the outsole and outlining the rear branding and heel panel. Finishing off the design is a splash of highlighter-pink on the heel piping and detail below.
