Nike is doubling down on its heritage football archive with a premium take on the classic Total 90 III SP silhouette, introducing a soft “Sail” colorway for Summer 2025.

This release complements the previewed “Black/Gum” edition, signaling a broader lifestyle pivot for the once on-pitch icon.

Initially known for its technical performance and synthetic builds, the Total 90 III SP gets a refined update using creamy suede materials across its upper. The white tonal palette softens the once aggressive design lines, while stitched detailing along the toe box and panels nod to the silhouette’s early-2000s DNA. The large “90” logo returns at the heel in tonal embroidery, but delicate laces and a simplified gum sole push this release firmly into off-pitch territory.

While the tooling underneath has been reshaped for everyday comfort, this version strips back the hardware elements that defined the model’s football roots. This minimalist reworking offers a quiet contrast to the boldness of its predecessor and highlights Nike’s ability to translate sport design into modern streetwear.

The Nike Total 90 III SP “Sail” is expected to launch during Summer 2025 alongside the “Black/Gum” edition on Nike.com and select retailers.
