Nike is Bringing Back the Total 90 as a Lifestyle Sneaker
In a nostalgic nod to its rich soccer heritage, Nike is set to bring back the Total 90 in 2025, not as the familiar soccer boot, but as a lifestyle-only sneaker.
Known for its association with football legends like Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo, the Total 90 left a lasting mark on the pitch. The 2025 revival, however, strips away the studs, repositioning this iconic design for everyday wear.
The transition to a lifestyle sneaker comes with various colorways and expected collaborations, transforming the Total 90 into an indoor-style trainer. This strategic shift targets the casual footwear market, positioning the Total 90 against Adidas's popular models like the Samba and Gazelle, which dominate this space.
This isn't the first time Nike has revisited the Total 90; in 2019, the brand re-released the Laser I model as a limited edition. The upcoming 2025 release, however, marks a broader, lifestyle-focused re-launch aimed at integrating this football classic into the daily fashion lineup.

Details about the reimagined Total 90 were first glimpsed during the Nike SNKRS showcase, teasing what's to come.
Expect more updates and announcements on the range of designs and partnerships accompanying its return to arrive soon.
