The Nike Waffle Racer Gears-Up in “Green Abyss”

A slew of Nike Waffle Racers have been peppering the market continually in 2020, including the enviro Nike Waffle Racer Crater Foam and even Virgil Abloh has added his OFF-WHITE branding to the iconic silhouette. Getting back to basics is this latest release with an arrangement that, whilst still modern in appearance, brings the focus back to its retro roots.

The slender profile of the Waffle Racer has highlighted thanks to its simple construction and use of materials such as nubuck, synthetic mesh, and rubber. “Photon Dust” is the primary hue of the uppers mesh base which plays foundation to the neutral nubuck overlays located on the mudguards, lace stays, and heel. Underfoot sits a pastel midsole that’s framed by a signature black rubber Waffle outsoe that results in its nostalgic appeal. Completing the design is a fresh hit of neo on the heel, a fat-bellied “Green Abyss” and two-tone laces.
